Anton Peltzmann

Anton Peltzmann (born December 7, 1920 in Krieglach , Styria , † September 14, 2000 ) was a Styrian politician .

Life

Anton Peltzmann was born as the son of the railway worker Anton and the housewife Margarethe Peltzmann. He graduated from the elementary, civil and commercial advanced training school in Mürzzuschlag before joining the Wehrmacht in 1938. During the war, Anton Peltzmann married his wife Franziska, who gave him three children. After returning home, Anton Peltzmann passed the master's examination in blacksmithing in 1947 and took over the grandfather's art forging business in Mitterdorf in the Mürz Valley, which he and his wife developed into a leading company in its branch. Anton Peltzmann began his political career in 1948 as a councilor in Mitterdorf in the Mürz valley. In the course of his long political career, Anton Peltzmann held many positions, including as Vice President and later as President of the Chamber of Commerce and for many years as Regional Chairman of the Economic Association. In 1963, Anton Peltzmann was appointed to the state government as an economic and disaster control officer, in which he was, among other things, the initiator of the law on the promotion of small and medium-sized enterprises and young entrepreneurs. His great commitment to young people is also evident in the construction of new training facilities for the next generation of business. Peltzmann has made a name for himself in the fire service. The training center of the fire brigade and civil protection school in Lebring goes back to his initiative. His motto was: “We help the little ones, the big ones help themselves.” After leaving the state government in 1980, Peltzmann held the position of chairman of the supervisory board of the Krentschker bank until his death .
