Antonio Patard
Antonio Patard . and Anthony patard , Patart , Patardi , Batardi , Patavius (* 1550, † after 1605) was an Italian trumpeter and composer .
Life
Due to the name Padua is assumed to be the place of birth, although Patard never used the correct name form Patavinus in this case. In 1598 he was the first trumpeter in the Italian band at the court of King Sigismund III. mentioned in Warsaw. In 1605 he conducted a performance of his own works on the occasion of Sigismund's marriage to Constanze von Österreich . Presumably he died in Warsaw. Two six-part motets and an incomplete eight-part mass have come down to us from his compositions.
