Aperlai ( Greek Ἀπέρλαι ) was an ancient coastal city in Asia Minor landscape Lycia in today Sıcak İskelesi in Turkey.
Little is known about the city's history. The city's oldest coins date from the 5th century BC. There are only literary mentions from the Roman Empire, when Aperlai belonged to the province of Lycia et Pamphylia and was united with the neighboring towns of Apollonia , Isinda and Simena to form a sympolitie. In 141/142 AD the city suffered damage from a severe earthquake and was helped by Opramoas of Rhodiapolis to rebuild . Around the year 240 Aperlai minted its own coins again.
In late antiquity the city became the seat of a bishop; Today's Roman Catholic titular Aperlae goes back to the diocese .
The imperial city wall, two churches from early Byzantine times and a necropolis east of the city have been preserved.
