Apheidas (son of Polypemon)
Apheidas ( Greek Ἀφείδας ) is a figure in Greek mythology .
Apheidas was the son of Polypemon from Alybas . When Odysseus had killed all of Penelopes ' suitors after his return to Ithaca , he went to see his old father Laertes and, in order to test his disposition, first stood for Apheidas' son Eperitos before revealing his true identity to Laertes.
