The Apostel-Paulus-Kirche is a church building in Bielefeld , which was built 1961–1962 as a Protestant Lukaskirche and has been used as a church by the Bielefeld parish Apostel-Paulus of the Greek Orthodox metropolis of Germany since 2002 .

history

On January 1, 1962, the St. Luke parish of the Paulus congregation became an independent congregation, and the building was inaugurated on Sunday, March 17, 1963. However, as early as 1967 there was a dramatic decline in the number of visitors to church services.

In 2002 the building was handed over to the Greek Orthodox community of Apostle Paul.

The church was built with a tower, which was later dismantled due to structural problems. The church was designed by Denis Boniver . The building was built by the construction company Werner Langenscheidt, structural and reinforced concrete from Bielefeld.
