Apostrophe Island is a small ice-covered island off the Borchgrevink coast of East Antarctica Victoria Land . It is located directly in front of the Spatulate Ridge in Lady Newnes Bay .

The naming after the apostrophe was made in 1966 by the New Zealand Antarctic Place-Names Committee and is due to the appearance of the island.
