Arbanassi
Arbanassi ( Bulgarian Арбанаси ) is a village near Veliko Tarnovo in Bulgaria . It is characterized by a varied history and numerous historical buildings. Presumably it was founded by part of the Bulgarian aristocracy. A former palace by Todor Zhivkov and hotel buildings date from the 20th century .
The oldest church in Arbanassi is the Nativity Church from the end of the 16th century. According to the plan, the church was intended as a single-nave pseudo-basilica with a double roof without a dome.
The village has given its name to the Arbanassi Nunatak on Livingston Island in Antarctica since 2005 .
