The Archaeological Prefectural Museum of Azuchi Castle, Shiga ( Japanese 滋 賀 県 立 安 土城 考古 博物館 , Shiga-ken Azuchi-jō Kōko Hakubutsukan , English Shiga Prefectural Azuchi Castle Archaeological Museum ) is an archaeological themed museum in Ōmihachiman , in Shiga Prefecture , Japan .

The facility serves to preserve and research the four historical sites and cultural assets: the Azuchi castle ruins , the Dainaka no kominami ( 大中 の 湖南 ) archaeological site , the keyhole Kofun Azuchi Hyōdanyama ( 安 土 瓢 箪 山 古墳 ) and the Kannonji castle , in their The center of the Ōmi Fudoki no Oka ( 近 江 風土 記 の 丘 ) historical park is located.

The museum complex emerged in 1992 from the Ōmi Fudoki no Oka archive of Shiga Prefecture ( 滋 賀 県 立 近 江 風土 記 丘 資料 館 ), which was founded in 1970 as a forerunner . The museum has a total area of ​​67,836 m², of which 5846 m² are interior rooms with an exhibition area of ​​4,424 m².
