Arde Madrid

Arde Madrid is a Movistar + television series produced in Spain. It is the first commercial, so paid television series that was shot by Paco Leon and Anna R. Costa in black and white. The series consists of eight episodes, each about 30 minutes in length. The series premiered at the San Sebastian International Film Festival . The series premiered on November 8, 2018 on the Movistar + platform.

The series tells the life of American actress Ava Gardner during her stay in Madrid in the 1960s, from the point of view of her domestic workers during the Franco era . It portrays the crazy coexistence of an elite group of artists, aristocrats and foreigners of the Dolce Vita in Madrid, with the Franco regime in power in a conservative Spain, where "people from abroad would have fun". Sex, whiskey and rock and roll while "the working class led a poor life and did not know what was going on outside their borders."
