On October 31, 2016, the two states established diplomatic and consular relations with one another .
economy
The two countries have little trade relations . Between 2004 and 2013 there were only imports from Argentina with a volume of around 20,000 US dollars . These were mainly vehicle parts (63 percent) and excavation machines (21 percent). Argentine imports from the Republic of Nauru totaled about $ 2,000 between 2014 and 2018; Argentine exports did not take place during this period either.
