The Arit has a curved, single-edged blade. Depending on the place of origin, there are different blade shapes that are named differently. Depending on the version, they are more or less curved. The Arit was developed as a sickle and was later used as a weapon. In combat, it is used with two hands or with a piso. The arit is used by ethnic groups in Indonesia.
