Poor Law

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The provisions on poor law in the German Code of Civil Procedure (ZPO) were replaced on January 1, 1981 by the law on legal aid .

Like the latter, the Poor Law made it possible, if there was proof of need (at that time by submitting a corresponding certificate from the community of residence, known as a certificate of poverty ) and if there was sufficient prospect of success, the provisional free conduct of civil proceedings , i.e. court and legal fees were advanced by the state.
