Arnegisclus
Arnegisclus was a magister militum of the Eastern Roman Empire in 447.
Arnegisclus, who was possibly of Gothic descent, is mentioned as an officer in Thrace in 441 , where he murdered the magister militum Johannes, who had been intrigued against in the imperial palace. In 443 Arnegisclus acted as comes in Thrace and together with other Roman officers suffered a defeat against Attila, the ruler of the Huns .
In 447 he was appointed magister militum per Thraciam . In the same year he led an advance against Attila from Marcianopolis and was defeated and killed by this in the battle of Utus .
His son Anagast was a master in Thrace in 468/469.
