Aruba Networks , formerly known as Aruba Wireless Networks, is a Santa Clara , California- based wireless network subsidiary of Hewlett Packard Enterprise .

The company was founded in 2002 by Keerti Melkote and Pankaj Manglik in Sunnyvale, California. On March 2, 2015, Hewlett-Packard announced that it would acquire Aruba Networks for approximately $ 3 billion in cash. On May 19, 2015, Hewlett-Packard completed the acquisition. The company has been a subsidiary of Hewlett Packard Enterprise since November 1, 2015 and continues to focus on networking locations and branches. In 2018, Aruba had sales of $ 2.9 billion.

The company sells network technology for setting up and operating WLAN networks, including the underlying cable and device-based network technologies (switches, routers, controllers, etc.), although it is only sold directly in B2B .
