Arybbas (soldier)
Arybbas ( Greek Ἀρύββας ; † 331 BC ) was a bodyguard ( somatophylax ) of the Macedonian king Alexander the Great . He was possibly of Illyrian origin . Arybbas accompanied the king from 334 BC. On the Asian campaign and died in the winter of 332 to 331 BC. In Egypt . His place among the bodyguards was taken by Leonnatos .
