The Asháninka club is a striking weapon of the Asháninka ethnic group from Peru , who live in the western Amazon basin .

description

The Asháninka club is made of wood. It is oval on the shaft and tapers flat towards the impact head. The place is cut out in the shape of a fish tail (see picture info box). The pommel is conical or pointed. The entire face of the striking head is decorated with traditional carvings, inlaid with white paint. The booklet is covered with fabric and fixed with a rope made of plant fibers.
