In Seattle living Tom Shear 1998 founded the electric project Assemblage 23 . He already had musical experience before the company was founded, as he played bass in a punk band and also worked on synth-pop pieces at home .
When a DJ industrial and EBM tracks played in the opening act of a Depeche Mode concert , Tom Shear was so inspired by it that he founded Assemblage 23. The name is chosen arbitrarily.
Tom Shear will be supported in live performances by Paul Seegers (keyboard) and Kevin Choby (drums).
