history

The association was founded in 1946, the first president was Luigi Mochi. In 1957, the club rose to Serie D , in which well-known Tuscan teams such as FC Empoli , AC Pisa and US Pistoiese played.

After relegation and suffering from economic problems, the club merged with the Marzocco youth team in 1963 and took over the name Rondinella Marzocco Firenze or RM Firenze for short. This was followed by victories in 1965 and 1966 in the Campionato Juniores Nazionali, the amateur equivalent of the Campionato Primavera. Some well-known players emerged from the team, such as Guido Magherini , who moved to Milan .

Until the seventies, the team played in the amateur championships, at the end of the 1979–1980 season it was promoted to the C1 series . By participating in a soccer betting scandal and the associated point deduction, the team was relegated. The recovery succeeded in the 1981/82 season.

In the seasons 1982-1983 and 1986-1987 the team played in the C1 series.
