(the three ground floors have already been demolished)

The Astra Tower , built in 1970 for the Bavaria-St.Pauli Brewery , is a high-rise in Hamburg. It should take the shape of a pilstulpe . When one of the architects, Horst von Bassewitz , sued against building measures that would ultimately lead to demolition because the appearance of a beer tulip would be changed, the court dismissed the lawsuit, as the “redesign is tantamount to demolition”, which does not justify copyright. The New Astra Tower built on the same site only indicates the shape of the chalice through a slight constriction of the facade.
