Atmospheric wave

In meteorology, an atmospheric wave is a periodic disturbance of atmospheric variables in the flow field (such as ground air pressure , geopotential height or wind speed ). Examples of this are the lee waves , Rossby waves or the quasi-biennial oscillation .
