Atomic pool

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A nuclear pool is an insurance pool that covers risks related to the operation of nuclear power plants .

Nuclear pools were established in the 1950s because the traditional insurance mechanisms for the operation of nuclear power plants with potentially catastrophic damage and a probability of occurrence that could not be reliably assessed were not suitable for a limited number of insured persons.
