The municipality of Attendorn-Land emerged in 1819 from the former mayor district of Attendorn. It existed until it was dissolved in 1969.

The rural settlements around the town of Attendorn belonged to the municipality of Attendorn-Land. In 1819 it consisted of 36 places. The community was part of the later office of Attendorn . The city of Attendorn itself belonged to this office, but not to the municipality of the same name.

history

In 1819 the municipality of Attendorn-Land was formed from the Attendorn mayor district. In 1961 it had a size of 66.47 square kilometers and 7906 inhabitants. On July 1, 1969, the community was dissolved and divided between the cities of Attendorn and Finnentrop .
