Attila Vári

Attila Vári (born February 26, 1976 in Budapest ) is a Hungarian water polo player . Attila Vári is 2.00 m tall and his competition weight is 93 kg.

Attila Vári belongs to the generation of Hungarian water polo players who were able to build on the great successes of the 1950s from the 1990s.

He started his career in modern pentathlon , but then switched to water polo and has been a member of the Hungarian national team since 1997. In 1997 and 1999 the team with Attila Vári became European champions, in between the team won silver at the 1998 World Cup.

At the Olympic Games in Sydney in 2000, the Hungarian team won gold with Attila Vári. In 2001 and 2003 he was third at the European Championship and in 2003 he won the world title . In Athens at the 2004 Olympic Games , he helped defend the 2000 gold medal. In 2005 he won silver at the World Cup .
