Attoparsec

The Attoparsec (abbreviation apc ) is an ironically used astronomical unit of length , which is made up of the unit prefix Atto- (10 −18 ) and the astronomical unit Parsec (approx. 3.26 light years or approx. 3,086 · 10 16  Meters ). It describes a length of a little more than 3  centimeters , which roughly corresponds to the inch (= 2.54 centimeters) widely used in the English-speaking world .

The unit is described in the jargon file , as is the derived speed Attoparsec per Microfortnight , which corresponds to about 1 inch / s or 0.026 m / s .

In addition, one is programming library for parsing of data formats on the length unit attoparsec named.
