As auditory Neglect refers to a particular form of cognitive impairment. A patient affected by auditory neglect reacts late or not at all to voices or noises in the affected half of the room or shows search movements for the sound source only in the unaffected area of ​​the room. It is therefore a special form of neglect in the sense of hearing. Other special forms are:

• Visual neglect - seeing
• Olfactory neglect - smelling
• Somatosensitive Neglect - Sense of Touch
