Resurrection Cathedral (Kiev)
Coordinates: 50 ° 27 '10 " N , 30 ° 35' 12" O The Patriarchal resurrection of Christ (Ukrainian: Патріарший Собор Воскресіння Христового) is the main cathedral of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church and Großerzbistums Kiev Halych in Kiev , the capital the Ukraine . Thechurch, builtin the style of neo-historicism , was consecrated on March 27, 2011 when the seat of the Patriarchate was moved from Lviv .
The cathedral is located on the left bank of the Dnieper in Dnipro Raion near the International Exhibition Center . This makes it one of the few church buildings in Kiev that is not on the right bank of the river. This should also symbolically express that the Greek Catholic Church sees its catchment area in the whole of Ukraine, not only in the extreme west, where it has the most members. Majority Church in Ukraine is Orthodoxy .
