Augustinianum is a peer-reviewed academic journal . It was founded in 1961 and was initially best known in the academic world for its contributions to Targumian literature. In 1970 she began to orientate herself towards patrology . Since 1973, the 1600th anniversary of the death of Athanasius the Great († 373), she has dedicated herself exclusively to this area. Since its inception, the magazine has published over 3800 articles and reviews on the study of the Church Fathers and ancient Christian literature. The Augustinianum magazine is edited by Antonio Gaytán and published by the Pontifical Patristic Institute Augustinianum in Rome .
