Aurelius Optatus
Aurelius Optatus (his praenomen is not known) was a member of the Roman knighthood ( Eques ) living in the 3rd century AD .
A dedicatory inscription that was found at the Camboglanna fort and which is dated to 171/300, shows that Optatus was prefect of the Cohors II Tungrorum milliaria equitata cl , which was stationed in the province of Britannia .
