Compensatory allowance (civil service law)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The compensation allowance is a salary entitlement of a civil servant if a loss of status (downgrading) due to the dissolution or restructuring of an agency according to Section 18 of the Civil Service Status Act has led to a lower final basic salary . It is granted in the amount of the difference between the old and the new salary. Subsequent grade increases are partially charged against the allowance, that is, the allowance is gradually melted . The compensatory allowance is pensionable.

If, on the other hand, the civil servant is “demoted” because of an official offense , he will not receive any compensation allowance.

The compensation allowance is regulated by law in Section 13 of the Federal Salary Act and in the relevant state salary regulations .
