The Standards Practice Committee (ANP) at DIN, the German Institute for Standardization e. V. was founded in 1919 and is the committee for standards users. It promotes the application of standards in the economy, forms a platform for the exchange of experience between those responsible for standardization in companies and supports DIN with statements resulting from the experience gained in practical in-house standardization work. He helps in the development and implementation of solutions for the application of standards in different branches of industry and company sizes.

The ANP is the contact point for a wide range of inquiries in the field of standardization (e.g. on standards management, the application of standards, European and international standardization , reference to directives, legal questions, product liability risks, etc.). In particular, it offers specialists from the standardization environment the opportunity to exchange ideas directly on standardization issues and topics as well as practice-oriented training.

The ANP consists of a network of regional groups and sector / thematic groups as well as a strategy group on questions of international and European standardization. The office is located in the DIN house.

The experts for standardization and norms organized in the ANP meet regularly throughout Germany and are also in constant contact via an »electronic committee« in order to be able to deal with and solve current issues promptly.

The ANP is open to all parties interested in standardization.
