The Australian Lightwing SP-6000 is a touring aircraft under development by the Australian manufacturer Australian Lightwing .

History and construction

The aircraft is developed according to the Australian regulations for self-construction aircraft and is a six-seater cantilever low-wing or braced high-wing aircraft with fixed nose wheel landing gear. The fuselage is made of GRP and is to be powered by an upgraded Corvette LS3 car engine with 180 to 200 hp, a Lycoming IO-360 or a turboprop engine. The original design provided for a non-pressurized cabin, but now a pressurized cabin is to be installed. The high-decker version should reach a cruising speed of 269 km / h, the low-decker version even 463 km / h). The aircraft is also to be sold as a kit for amateur builders .
