Austria Extreme Triathlon

The Austria Extreme Triathlon is a triathlon competition in Austria . The competition has been held annually since 2015 and is considered one of the toughest triathlon competitions (over the Ironman distance) in the world.

execution

The starting point of the competition is Graz in Austria. The finish area at the Dachstein valley station via the Südwandhütte!

We swim in the river Mur . The distance of 3.8 km is divided into 2 km downstream and 1.8 km upstream. The bike route covers 186.6 km through the surrounding mountains with 3860 meters of altitude.

The 43.6 km run with an altitude of 1960 meters leads over the Sölksperre, Strubschlucht, Michaelaberg, Pruggern, Aich, Burgstaller, Silberkarklamm, Ramsau, Glösalm via the Südwandhütte to the valley station on the Dachstein. The two-time winner is the Austrian Michael Strasser (extreme athlete) .
