Payment receipt

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Payment slip is the business and accounting term for various forms of paper.

Banking management

In banking management , payment slip is the name of the form for cash payment receipts from credit institutions, mostly disposals debited to current accounts or savings deposits in cash ( payment as conversion of book money into cash ); the credit institution does not undertake such a transaction without a payment receipt , because this has the recipient's signature on the receipt as proof of payment . On the other hand, many credit institutions do without the previously customary deposit receipts due to form processing costs (see deposit ), because from a controlling point of view, the institute does not need to provide evidence of having to process a corresponding accounting receipt after internal posting of the external money deposit . In this regard, bank customers are referred to the evidence of an account statement. Disbursement receipts were microfilmed by banks up until the 1990s as part of the retention obligation before they were destroyed; this process has been replaced by the digitization of receipts using document scanners.

Office management

In the office industry , payment receipt is a common term for accounting forms, which are used to document company cash payments, primarily of an internal nature: company cash payments from the postage / cash register for the purpose of buying postage stamps, company cash payments to the owner as private withdrawal, (wage) payment confirmation with receipt signature for employee remuneration / employee expenses / Salaries or similar

ATM technology

In the late 1960s, in the pioneering days of the ATM industry, a payment slip was a technical aid in the form of a punched card (as a forerunner of the later standard magnetic stripe card ) with which the bank customer at the ATM (see ATM , Chapter 3, History) could initiate the withdrawal process. In order to authorize the right of disposal and to legitimize the payee, an additional punch card was used to allocate the amount of disbursement authorizations in addition to the physical security key and ID instead of the magnetic stripe coding EDI queries that were not yet technically implemented at the time.
