Automotive Components Holdings

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Automotive Components Holdings LLC is a subsidiary of Ford Motor Company .

history

In 2000 Ford had outsourced part of the factories in its component production to the company Visteon . Five years later, a number of these operations were transferred back and transferred to Automotive Components Holdings. This approach corresponded to the long-term corporate strategy and should give Ford more time to weigh the options for the individual companies. 17 manufacturing companies, six branches, 18,000 temporary and 5,000 permanent Visteon employees were affected. The sale of the factories and branches was originally supposed to be completed by the end of 2008.

The last company in the holding was closed at the end of 2014. It has not been established whether the holding still exists or whether it has been dissolved.
