Avebury Manor is an early 16th century mansion and gardens in the village of Avebury in Wiltshire , England . The house is owned by the National Trust .

The manor house is inhabited by private individuals and can only be partially visited. The number of participants on the guided sightseeing tours is limited. When the maximum number of visitors has been reached, the next free tour can only be booked again. The gardens are not subject to this restriction.

Gardens

The gardens were completely redesigned in the early 20th century. The individual gardens are separated from each other by walls and include a. a garden with fruit trees and a flower garden. All gardens also include topiary elements made from pruned box trees .
