Avilius of Alexandria
Avilius (in the West also Abilius ; † 95 ) was Bishop of Alexandria in the years 83–95 (other sources: 84–98) and the third holder of this office after Mark the Evangelist and Anianus . His term of office falls into the government of Emperor Domitian . The Coptic Church commemorates him on the first day of Thout (September / October).
