The Ayarmaca applied until the time of the sixth Inca ruler Inca Roca (Inca ruq'ah script) as equally strong strain in northwestern Qusqu ( Cusco ). The Inca may even be subordinate to them. Through the marriage of the son of Inka Ruq'a, Yáhuar Huácac (Yawar Waqaq) , with Mama Chiquia, the daughter of Tocay Cápac (Tuqay Qhapaq) , an important ruler of the Ayarmaca, the Inca gained power over them and were able to expand their empire.
