The Azienda Autonoma di Stato per i Servizi Pubblici ( AASS for short ) is a municipal service company in the Republic of San Marino .

The company, founded in 1981 on the basis of the law of May 25, 1981, n.41, has the task of providing basic services within the Republic of San Marino through the establishment and operation of the following services:

  • water
  • gas
  • electricity
  • Waste and sewage disposal
  • Public transport, including the Funivia di San Marino cable car
  • slaughterhouse

AASS has been a public limited company since the early 2000s. AASS currently operates ten bus routes in San Marino. AASS obtains the gas to supply San Marino directly from the Italian oil and energy group Eni SpA. AASS operates two high-voltage substations with 132 kV in Cailungo and Rovereta , which are supplied from Italy; From there the energy is further distributed in a medium-voltage network of 15 kV and reduced to the normal voltage in local transformer stations before the low voltage reaches the end user.
