Azinhal is a place and a former municipality ( Freguesia ) in the Portuguese district of Almeida . 63 inhabitants lived in the community (as of June 30, 2011).

On September 29, 2013, the parishes of Azinhal, Peva and Vale Verde were merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Azinhal, Peva e Valverde . Azinhal is the seat of this newly formed community.
