BBWC

BBWC represents English Battery backed write cache and refers to a battery protected by cache for RAID controller . In most RAID controllers, the cache is already integrated in the controller, the accumulator can often be retrofitted as a module with small electronics ( Battery Backup Unit , BBU). The BBU protects the cache from unexpected events such as power failure, system errors or mainboard malfunctions.
