Lysias (potter)

Lysias was a Greek potter , active around 530 BC. In Athens .

He is only known for his signature on a clay-ground band of an otherwise black-varnished jug of a special shape between an olpe and oinochoe from Cerveteri , now in Paris, Louvre Inv. F 339. John D. Beazley assigned this piece to the so-called Criton group .
