BRA Day

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The BRA Day (BRA; English for " B reast R econstruction A wareness") was launched in 2011 by the Canadian Foundation Willow Breast Cancer Support & Hereditary. The aim was to establish an international day of action that creates awareness for breast reconstructions after breast cancer . Every year, more and more specialists worldwide take part in the Awareness Day.

On BRA Day, those affected have the opportunity to receive qualified answers to questions about breast reconstruction in information lectures and group consultations from experts. In Germany the initiative works closely with members of the German Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons.

Since 2014, the BRA Day in October has been organized internationally in various clinics and countries. In Germany, the 1st BRA Day was held on October 16, 2013 in specialized clinics.
