The BSC Laufdorf is an archery club from the central Hessian community Schöffengrund . He belongs to the Schützengau 4 Lahn-Dill of the Hessian Rifle Association.
history
The origins of archery in Laufdorf lie in the local rifle club. Interested parties had come together there to practice their sport. In 1990 an independent sports club was established.
Since its inception, the club's athletes have won 80 titles at the district level, more than 50 at the Gau level and 40 at the Hessian state level. In 2006 the club in Verden became German team champions. In 2016, Katrin Kuhne won the German championship of the DFBV (Deutscher Feldbogen Sportverband eV) in the hall in the women's recurve class and Martin Zink in the men's recurve class.
League teams
The club participates with several teams in the league operation of the German Shooting Federation (DSB) in the hall. The first team was relegated from the 1st Bundesliga Bogen Nord in the sporting year 2017 .
The second team rose in 2016 from the Hessenliga to the Regionalliga West and reached 4th place in the sporting year 2017. The third team started in the Hessian Oberliga Nord in 2015.
The fourth team, characterized by the youth, reached 2nd place in the Gauliga 4 Lahn-Dill in 2016.
Home competitions of the league teams are held in the sports and culture hall in Schöffengrund-Schwalbach.
Indoor tournament
In April every year, the association organizes an indoor tournament in the sports and culture hall in Schöffengrund-Schwalbach, the distance is 30 m. This tournament has been held every year since 1993.
For the 25th anniversary of the club, a friendship tournament was held in this hall on 25 m in October 2015.
