Decisions of the Federal Administrative Court

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The decisions of the Federal Administrative Court (BVerwGE) are a collection of the important decisions of the Federal Administrative Court published by the members of the Federal Administrative Court, analogous to the collection of the decisions of the Federal Constitutional Court , BVerfGE.

The BVerwGE has been published since 1956, although decisions since 1953 were also taken into account retrospectively. Since then they have been published by Carl Heymanns Verlag in Cologne .

The abbreviation usually follows when quoting the volume, the page number on which the decision begins and, if applicable, the page number of the relevant point. The individual decisions are cited in the form “BVerwGE 87, 37, 41”. This means that the cited decision (warning about glycol wine from 1990) is in volume 87 of the decision collection and begins on page 37; the point that matters to the citation is on page 41.
