Gong Linna

Gong Linna ( Chinese  龚琳娜 , Pinyin Gōng Línnà ; * 1975 in Guiyang , Guizhou Province ) is a Chinese singer .

Live and act

She studied at the China Conservatory of Music in Beijing . In 2000 she was awarded the title "Best Female Singer" at the Chinese National Singing Competition and also received the "Special Audience Award".

Since 2002 she has also devoted herself to Chinese folk music, the different styles and techniques of which have flowed into her own interpretations. With her CD "Zou Shengming De Lu - Walking The Path Of Life" she achieved good placements in the European World Music Charts in 2006. Gong Linna has been praised by critics for her stylistic versatility. Gong Linna also sings songs to the Chinese zither ( Qin ).

Gong lives with her husband Robert Zollitsch, a composer of new Chinese art music, and their two children on Lake Chiemsee in Bavaria.
