Babbling idiot
A babbling idiot is a node in a network that disrupts communication through misconduct. This can be caused by sending messages at random times that are not synchronized with the network, or by incorrect content of messages.
It can thus interfere with the nodes that transmit their messages synchronously with the network. This can lead to miscommunication or even to a complete loss of communication in the network. To prevent this, each network participant can have a so-called bus guardian , for example . This ensures that the network participant only sends within its statically assigned time slot.
