Babe was a Dutch female pop group from the 1970s and 1980s.

Band history

Babe was founded in 1979 by Peter Koelewijn , who produced all tracks with the exception of the single Tick-a-thumps my heart .

The group originally consisted of Gemma van Eck, Rita van Rooij and Monique Hagemeyer. Hagemeyer was replaced by Margot van der Ven in 1980 and Van Eck by Marga Bult in 1981 . Measured by the number of top 40 hits, Babe is the most successful group that never reached the top 10 of the Dutch charts.
