Bach Cantatas website

The Bach Cantatas Website (BCW) is the world's largest and most important interactive online topic site on Johann Sebastian Bach and his work on the Internet. The site was founded in December 2000 by the Israeli citizen Aryeh Oron and is still operated by him as webmaster. It is an international joint project that was put together from various contributions on the subject of Johann Sebastian Bach and will be further compiled that were sent to the Bach mailing lists of the project.

The BCW illuminates all aspects of Johann Sebastian Bach's cantatas as well as his other vocal works and some of his instrumental works. It contains a detailed discography, discussions, performers and general information for every Bach work. The BCW also contains the original Bach texts and translations, scores, music examples as well as articles and interviews on the respective work. The BCW also offers more than 8000 short biographies of performers of Bach's vocal works and players of his keyboard and lute works, as well as information on poets and composers associated with Bach.

The BCW service offers a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, personal, non-sublicensable, non-transferable, non-assignable right of use of the Bach-Cantatas website. The user can use the BCW unannounced or register for the project with a user name and take part in discussions on the topic. The service is for educational, study and research purposes only. The service may explicitly not be used for commercial purposes.

BCW has also been designed for mobile devices since 2017.
