Back nine order

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The term back-nine-order ( English back nine order ) is mainly used in US television series used the thirteen after the first episodes of a season which - after the pilot episode have passed the second "quality control" and thanks to their audience or belief at TV stations - to get nine more episodes into the series to the previous thirteen episode season, which then results in a full season (usually 22 episodes).

The back nine order, however, does not provide any certainty about another season of a television series, as this is usually only a privilege for really profitable series.
