The Bederkesa train station in Bad Bederkesa , Bahnhofstraße 18, is under the protection of historical monuments in Lower Saxony and is included in the list of architectural monuments in Geestland .
history
The two-storey, clinkered reception building from 1896 with a gable roof and the single-storey freight shed as a half-timbered construction are at the end of the Bremerhaven – Bederkesa railway from 1896.
Intermediate stations in Langen , Debstedt and Drangstedt and, at times, additional stops in Langen-Seepark (no longer available) and in billets were set up along the route . Passenger traffic on the route was discontinued in 1968 and replaced by a bus line. Freight traffic ended in 1993.
The Bremerhaven - Bederkesa museum railway has been running the route since 1990, operated by an association with the Bad Bederkesa museum station.
